The core temp is labled as "Package" under the FX 8350 in HWMonitor, 42c for 4.0Ghz is fantastic, the cooler has been installed correctly.

I noticed this recently after my system hard locked while playing State Of Decay 2, and was able to reproduce that with heavyload just stress testing the CPU.
