Failure of the front lower control arm fasteners during assembly may separate the steering knuckle, affecting the handling and increasing the risk of a crash. Land Rover notified the owners and initiated the recall on January 27, 2024. WebbA number of owners have reported that their Land Rover Discovery’s steering system has developed a squeak. This is noticeable from both the outside and interior of the vehicle, so is both annoying and embarrassing. The issue is that the oil seal for the input shaft gearwheel has failed, and lubrication is somewhat lacking.

Webb17 mars 2009 · Try and track down the noise (unless you're getting a super leak) - could be Steering pump, alternator or ac compressor, but as I think you asked for your friend on a previous thread, the idler pulleys and tensioner are usually first culprit for a noise.
