Special Outreaches

"Impact Blue Ridge" Outreach Ministry

Outreach involves all ministries of the church and all equipped saints using their spiritual gifts, natural talents, unique personalities and time.  Therefore, we believe that outreach is a church wide team effort. 

The Outreach Team concept makes it easy for each one to be involved including:  
*Creating outreaches
*Organizing events
*Participating in events
*Preparation for the events
*Praying for the events
*Many more ways

Outreach Focuses Include:

Neighbor to Neighbor Outreach
Every Christian is called to be salt and light in this present world (Matthew 5:13-16).  Therefore, we encourage our people to reach out to their unsaved neighbors and co-workers with the gospel of Christ.  This is done through building relationships with our neighbors and co-workers. 
We encourage taking a plate of goodies to our neighbors, evangelistic parties in the home, neighborhood activities, and other acts of kindnesses as means of making contacts and building relationships.  We encourage this through the church services and through our Sunday School classes.  Neighbor to Neighbor evangelism should be a normal part of every Christian's life.

Church Ministries Outreach
There are many outreaches through the various ministries of our church such as the Sunday School, Word of Life Ministries, Neighborhood Bible Time, Jail Ministries, Children's & Youth Ministries, Sunshine Ministries, Christmas & Easter Cantata, Revival Services and other special services.

Community Outreaches
The goal is to put a good presentation of the Gospel in every home in the Blue Ridge area whether by written form or by witnessing through word of mouth.  We target the community in various ways:

Walking Club
Monday, Wednesday, Friday
8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.  in the FAITH Center

Friday Night Sports Nights
September - May for Grade 7 to Adult
Men's Basketball & Co-Ed Volleyball
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Annual "Colonial Autofest"
October Car Show

"Battery Drops"
Daylight Saving Time - We target a certain section of our community with a gift bag consisting of a church note, a tract, and a battery for their smoke alarm.

Acts of Kindness
Throughout the year, we target certain groups such as school teachers and area businesses with a small gift, a note from our church, and a tract.

Community Christmas Caroling
All ages of our church are involved in this yearly ministry of encouragement.

Community Impact Night
The fourth Tuesday night of each month, we have a "Community Impact Night" where we seek to make a difference in our community through various kinds of visitations such as new visitors, Sunday School, new residents, shut-ins, hospitals, and others.  Some in our church meet this night to make gifts and prepare for some of the outreaches.
